What is a U-cup seal?
A U-cup is a single-acting sealing element with a U-shaped cross-section. Pressure fills the section and presses the lips against the groove and the rod, so sealing gets stronger as pressure rises. It is widely used in the rod and piston positions of hydraulic cylinders.
